STRESS
Most people come to therapy expecting to “talk about their problems.” That’s not how I work. Together, we will work differently.
I listen to what upsets you and what bothers you, but my focus is on helping you understand how your brain works, why your symptoms stay and what we can do -today- to respond differently. When it comes to stress, we’ll explore how your brain actually responds to challenging situations—why you might feel stuck, overwhelmed, reactive, or shut down. That’s why, when you understand the mechanism behind your stress, things start to make sense. When things make sense and you can identify them, they become changeable. You have the capacity to make meaningful changes.
I translate evidence-based psychological models into clear, personalized insights that apply directly to you—not generic advice. This means that you’ll gain understanding that is practical and relevant to your unique needs. But insight alone is not enough.
In every session, we’ll actively practice practical techniques together. This way, what you learn becomes something you can do right away. Knowledge becomes skill, and skill becomes your habit. It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed—together, we’ll make it manageable.
You won’t just leave sessions with awareness. You’ll leave with tools you can use that very day. You’re not alone in this process, and together, we’ll work toward positive change.
ANXIETY/DEPRESSION
Anxiety and depression are not just “emotional problems”-they are patterns your brain has learned and reinforced over time. Instead of only talking about how you feel, I help you understand why your mind gets stuck in cycles of overthinking, low motivation, or emotional heaviness. You’ll learn how your nervous system, thoughts, and behaviors interact -and how to interrupt that cycle. Then, in session, we practice targeted techniques so you can regulate anxiety, shift depressive patterns, and regain a sense of control. The goal isn’t just temporary relief -it’s building the skills your brain needs to respond differently, long after the session ends.
Couples Therapy
Most couples come in feeling stuck—having the same arguments, misinterpreting each other’s intentions, or slowly growing distant. What’s often missing isn’t love, but a clear understanding of what’s happening beneath the surface.
I use the Gottman Method, a research-based approach developed by Dr. John Gottman and Dr. Julie Gottman, grounded in decades of studying what makes relationships succeed or fail.
Instead of letting sessions turn into unproductive arguments, I guide you through a structured process where you learn:
- How conflict works in your relationship
- Why certain conversations escalate quickly
- How to communicate in a way your partner can hear
- How to rebuild trust, respect, and emotional connection
You won’t just talk about problems—you’ll understand the patterns driving them.
In session, I teach you the “why” behind your reactions and then walk you through practical tools you can use immediately. You’ll practice new ways of communicating, managing conflict, and reconnecting—so change isn’t theoretical, it’s happening in real time.
